Warby Parker: Palm Canyon Collection

warby parker, palm canyon collection, eyewear,
As you may have guessed from my logo, I'm a girl who loves glasses. That's why I'm so excited to be able to share with you Warby Parker's latest collection- The Palm Canyon Collection. Like many online eyewear retailers, Warby Parker aims to get eyewear to people who want and need it at reasonable prices; their most expensive glasses are only ninety five dollars- and that's including the anti-scratch and anti-glare coatings all their pieces come with! What makes Warby Parker different from other online eyewear companies isn't (just) their reasonable prices.

It is who they are- and are always striving to be- as a company that I really like. All of their designs are made in-house and are exclusive just to them. They like to take blend together a modern and vintage aesthetic, and this latest collections draws on wood and tortoise designs that are just my cup of tea! Below is one of my favorite designs from the new collection. duckworth-optical-painted-desert-top
There is are some unique features to the company that rock. Like many other online eyewear retailers, Warby Parker has a virtual try-on feature, allowing you to upload a photo of yourself and "try" on frames. What this company does that no other one seems to is you can get frames shipped to your house and try them on in person. For free. Yeah, you read that correctly. They have an option for you to pick up to five different frames, which they will send you free of charge to try on. You can keep them for five days and get a feel for the frames as well as others' opinions before shipping them back (free of charge). You can them email with with which pair of frames you want from there. Just one of many customer-friendly features.

The other thing that, to me, really sets Warby Parker apart is that not only is it striving to take care of and listen to costumers, but it wants to Do Good. Did you know that almost a billion people need glasses but don't have access to get them? Or that having good vision can increase your productivity by twenty percent? Having a pair of glasses when you need it makes a big difference.  For every pair of glasses purchased with them, they donate another pair of glasses to those in need through one of their partner charities, the main partner being Vision Springs. Vision Springs and the other partner charities give these glasses- and training- to low-income entrepreneurs around the world. I love that it is giving back, and that it is sustainable by helping people to start businesses!

P.S. Looking for other companies that Do Good? Look at this post here and here.

  1. I never knew that the Out of Print company was one of these companies that give back to the less fortunate! I love their totes and sweatshirts so much.

As for Warby Parker...I've admire their glasses for some time. Now that I'm wearing glasses more often than not, I'm so tempted to try on my favorites.
